Consultation process
Where a development has the potential to affect surrounding properties, the City will undergo a consultation process. Comments received through that process are taken into account when making a decision on the development.
The City's Planning Policy Advertising of Planning Proposals provides guidance on the geographic extent, method and duration of the required consultation for various kinds of planning proposals.
Application Search
Search the application using the address or application reference number.
Making a submission
To lodge your written support, objection or comments to a development, search the application via the search above then select the correct application to view. Review the information, then click on the 'Lodge Submission' button at the top right of the page and complete the form. Please include your email address if you wish to be kept informed on the application.
Major development applications
Many major developments are determined by Development Assessment Panels.
See the minutes and agendas for Development Assessment Panel meetings at the Planning Online website.
Notifications are published seven days before the meeting date.
Development applications determined under delegated authority
Development applications can be determined under delegated authority (by City officers), by Council decision, by a State determination agency or by referral to the relevant state authority.
The majority of development applications are determined by the City's officers under delegated authority.
