Building site issues
Building works impacting residents can include:
- Builders sand on footpaths, roads, down drains and/or on verges
- Cement spills on verges, crossovers, roads and/or down drains
- Building materials on neighbouring verges, leaning against trees or protruding onto the road
- Rubbish issues.

Regulatory bodies
The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has two departments for industry and safety regulation - Building and Energy and WorkSafe.
The Building and Energy department oversees the operations of the building, building surveying, electrical, gas, painting, and plumbing industries including the resolution of building service and payment disputes.
WorkSafe is responsible for the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984. WorkSafe aims to reduce workplace fatality, injury and disease rates.
