Drop & Go station

Drop off your eligible drink containers at our Containers for Change Drop & Go Station at the Recycling Centre, operated by Good Sammy.
Bag drops are a convenient option, but refunds take a little longer to process than at a depot or a self-serve kiosk as bag drop sites are only serviced a few times a week, depending on the location. The containers are collected, transported and counted before the refund can be transferred to your account.

What is a Drop & Go station?

Drop & Go stations offer a quick and contact-free option to return your 10c containers.
Bag your 10c containers, securely attach a tag with your member number and name, and simply drop them into the chute. A refund point operator will collect and count your containers, and your refund will be processed as a bank transfer or donation, using your member number payment details.

Where do I get a member number?

Learn more on the Containers for Change website, including how to set up a member number account.

How do I get my money?

Before dropping off your 10c containers, choose how you want to be refunded. In your member number account, set your preferred payment method to bank transfer, or set it to directly donate to a cause. Then, attach your member number to your bags to ensure you receive your refund.

Steps

At Drop & Go Stations, remember three key steps:
Bag it: Place your containers in sturdy bags.
Tag it: Use the labels from your local container refund point or write your member number and name on the bag.
Drop it: Drop your bag of containers in the chute.

Do I need to bring my own bags and labels?

Yes. Make sure the bags are sturdy so they don't break in transit. Write your full name and member number clearly on your labels and stick them on, or put them inside each bag you're returning.
