Anti-social behaviour on roads
Residents are encouraged to report any anti-social behaviour (including speeding and hooning) on roads to the local Police on 131 444.
Traffic investigations
Requests to conduct traffic investigations due to anti-social behaviour on City streets can be raised below. This includes consideration for traffic calming options.
Traffic/road safety
- The City monitors traffic and road safety on local roads
- The City targets road safety improvements at identified problem locations
- Residents can request a traffic investigation be undertaken by a City Officer
- A traffic investigation involves analysis of traffic data, recorded crash history and an assessment of the road environment
- If Officers conclude a traffic safety issue exists, an investigation into road safety improvements will be conducted and recommended actions implemented.
Traffic/road safety options
When investigating road safety issues, the City may consider the following options.
Traffic calming
The City may consider traffic calming treatments such as slow points and speed humps.
Traffic signals
For busy intersections, the City may consider the installation of traffic signals. This is subject to Main Roads WA approval.
Speed limits
The City may consider a revision of speed limits on City roads. This is subject to Main Roads WA approval.
