Urgent requests

Trees in parks

Trees are an important part of the City and provide a range of benefits. The City maintains the trees in City owned parks and reserve areas.

Maintenance requests

The following are examples of maintenance requests for trees in City owned parks and reserve areas:
  • fallen trees, vegetation or limbs;
  • pruning for the following reasons:
  • improving the safety, structure and health of the tree; and
  • to clear branches overhanging property, the roadway and footpaths.
  • removal for the following reasons;
  • dead;
  • dying;
  • diseased;
  • causing damage to private property; or
  • causing damage to public infrastructure.
Please note, pruning/removal of trees will not be undertaken for leaf drop, or to reduce shading of gardens or solar panels, improve television reception or to provide or improve views.

  • To report tree issues in a park or reserve area, raise a request below.
  • An officer will investigate within the next 10 working days.
