Urgent Requests

  • If you are witnessing a dog attack currently in progress, please contact the City on 9474 0777 to report your request. You can call this number 24-hours a day for urgent / high priority assistance.
  • This will allow an officer to respond with the highest priority.

Dog Attacks

Dog attacks can take many forms including:
  • aggressively rushing at or harassing any person or animal;
  • biting or causing physical injury to a person or animal;
  • tearing clothing on or causing damage to the property of any person attacked; and
  • attempting to attack or behaving in a manner that would cause fear of physical injury.

Investigations

The City will investigate incidents relating to dogs that:
  • attack a person or animal
  • display aggressive behaviour (e.g. chasing or lunging in a manner that causes concern for your safety).

Raise a Request

  • To request an investigation into a dog attack, please raise a request below.
  • An Officer will take action within the next two (2) hours.
