Urgent Requests
- If you are witnessing a dog attack currently in progress, please contact the City on 9474 0777 to report your request. You can call this number 24-hours a day for urgent / high priority assistance.
- This will allow an officer to respond with the highest priority.
Dog Attacks
Dog attacks can take many forms including:
- aggressively rushing at or harassing any person or animal;
- biting or causing physical injury to a person or animal;
- tearing clothing on or causing damage to the property of any person attacked; and
- attempting to attack or behaving in a manner that would cause fear of physical injury.
Investigations
The City will investigate incidents relating to dogs that:
- attack a person or animal
- display aggressive behaviour (e.g. chasing or lunging in a manner that causes concern for your safety).
