Access onto a park or reserve
Residents whose properties are adjoining or adjacent to a park or reserve, and utility providers (eg. Western Power, Water Corporation, ATCO Gas etc.) may require temporary access onto a reserve for the purpose undertaking maintenance or works to their property.

Applications
Applicants who require temporary access to a City reserve are required to complete the Application Permit for Access onto a Reserve. Please ensure your application includes details of the dates and times that you will require access. Please note that the applicant must be the owner of the property or the utility provider, not the contractor carrying out the work.
Completed applications should be returned to the City via:
- Mail or hand-delivery to: Civic Centre, Cnr Sandgate Street & South Terrace, South Perth WA 6151.
Please allow up to three business days for your application to be processed. Same day requests will not be approved.
Once the application has been received, a City officer will carry out an inspection of the desired location and set the fees and bond required as per the City's Fees and Charges Schedule. The applicant will then be contacted by the City to be advised whether their request has been approved.
Payment will be required before work can commence. Payment can be made at the Civic Administration Centre, or by calling 9474 0777.
Fees
- If the application is approved, the applicant will be advised of the fee due.
- Payment can be made via phone on 9474 0777 or in person at the Civic Centre, Cnr Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth.
- Once payment has been received, the key (if applicable) may be collected by the applicant from the City's Operations Centre, 199 Thelma Street, Como.
- Please retain your receipt as this may be required to be produced on demand.
Please note - a bond will be included with the fees.
Bond refunds
- Raise a request below to notify the City that access is no longer required.
- Any key (if applicable) must be returned to the City's Operations Centre, 199 Thelma Street, Como.
- Once the City has been notified that the access is no longer required, a City officer will inspect the site and approve a refund of held bonds (if applicable). If you have not received the bond refund within 10 business days, please contact the City via a request below.
- The City will provide the applicant with an opportunity to clean up and/or rectify any damage before the City utilises the bond money.
- The City will use the bond money to clean up or repair any damage. If the damage is more than the bond, the City will seek further compensation.
