Pre-lodgement applications

The City's Design Review Panel (DRP) are a specialised group of consultants appointed by the City that provide independent professional and technical advice to City officers in relation to the design of buildings and related matters. The DRP perform a purely advisory function and do not have any power to make decisions.
The purpose of the DRP is to provide comments and advice to the City on the design and site planning of certain development proposals and urban design matters issues.

To submit an application, proceed below.

Before you begin

Prior to commencing the application via the link below, ensure you have an electronic copy (eg scan) of the following documentation prior to completing the application process:
  • Full set of architectural plans to 1:100 or 1:200 scale
  • Landscaping plans
  • Specialist Reports (Sustainability Report, Waste Management Plan etc)
  • Site context and design response
  • Assessment of SPP 7.0 (10 Design Principles)
  • High level assessment against the City and State Planning Framework
  • 3D or streetscape perspectives (if available)
  • DRP Presentation (PDF or PowerPoint format only).
You will be required to attach this information during the application process.

Application attachments

Please ensure you are attaching all plans, materials and supporting information relevant to the application as part of your initial lodgement. Any omissions or additional materials will be required to be sent as separate emails, which will be limited to standard email size limitations (eg 10MB).

Post lodgement process

Once your application is lodged, the following steps will apply:
  • Following lodgement and acceptance of the application, an invoice for the application fee will be issued by the City. Payment in full of the application fee is required prior to the DRP lodgement date.
