Request pruning of City trees.

Urgent requests

If the tree is directly interfering with power lines, street lights or represents a safety hazard, please contact the City on 9474 0777 to report your request. You can call this number 24-hours a day for urgent / high priority assistance.

Tree pruning requests

The City prunes trees once a year. If you are requesting additional pruning, please state the reason via a request below, for example, for driveway, height or property line clearance, or for damaged trees or limbs.
The City does not reduce the height of trees, unless they are under powerlines.
Please note, pruning will not be undertaken to reduce shading of gardens or solar panel, improve television reception or to provide or improve views.

Tree status

A tree's status can be identified via Intramaps under the Trees & Environment Module.
If the tree is found to be significant, pruning works may take longer.

Trees in parks

If the tree is located in a City maintained park or reserve, then refer to tree issues in parks knowledge for information.

Trees on private property

If the tree is located on private property, then please refer to trees on private property knowledge for information.

  • To request pruning of a City street tree, please raise a request below
  • An Officer will investigate within 10 business days
  • Please note, pruning can take up to four to six weeks from the request unless the tree is directly interfering with powerlines, or represents a safety hazard.
