Public places
The City will investigate pests in:
- City managed natural bushland
- open waterbodies in reserves
- wetland areas and
- recreational areas such as reserves, ovals and streetscapes.
Council responsibility
The City will respond to requests relating to:
- bees/wasps in verge trees, parks or public areas
- termites and cedar moth caterpillars in verge trees
- pests in conservation areas including foxes, rabbits and feral cats
- mosquitoes in public places and
- pests in Council buildings.
Note - the City does not treat ants in parks or public areas.
Utility services and infrastructure
The City does not respond to pest issues in utility services and infrastructure owned by other entities e.g. Telstra Pits and Water Corporation manholes.
