Sumps

Drainage sumps are essential components for the management and control of stormwater disposal from roads. The City is responsible for the maintenance of City owned sumps.

Sump issues

The following sump issues can be reported to the City:

Fallen branches
Tree pruning (including overhanging private property)
Mowing
Weeds
Reticulation.

If the issue relates to drainage refer to drainage issues knowledge for information on how to report.

Main Roads responsibility

Sumps in close proximity to Canning Highway may be the responsibility of Main Roads WA. When lodging your request, you will be asked to select the sump from a list of dropdown options. If the sump is not listed and is in close proximity to Canning Highway, please report directly to Main Roads WA.
