Urgent requests
- If you are reporting a dog currently wandering, or are holding a dog, please contact the City on 9474 0777 to report your request. You can call this number 24-hours a day for urgent assistance.
- This will allow an officer to respond with the highest priority.
Examples of wandering animals
Wandering animals can include:
- dogs wandering off with owner present
- dogs wandering without owner present
- dogs wandering/found on private property without consent of the property owner or
- animals that have been handed in to a veterinary practice within City boundaries.
Cats
Rangers are unable to attend to wandering cats. If you have a cat wandering onto your property, then refer to information on trapping cats.
Wildlife
The City will respond to unattended domestic animals only, and do not attend to wandering or injured wildlife. Refer wandering wildlife to Wildcare on 9474 9055.
Found animals - other Council areas
If you are reporting a found animal outside of City of South Perth boundaries, please contact the relevant Local Government Authority to report the found animal.
