Road maintenance types
Maintenance can include:
- Cleaning
- Depressions
- Line marking (yellow)
- Obstructions
- Oil spills
- Parking bays
- Pot holes
- Roadworks
- Rubble or loose surface
- Sweeping
Road structure maintenance types
Maintenance can include:
- Bollards
- Brick paving
- Crash barrier
- Fence
- Handrail
- Kerb
- Right of ways
Manning Road
City responsibility
- The City has a shared responsibility with Main Roads for the maintenance of Manning Road
- The City maintains everything on Manning Road except for traffic lights. This includes City management of the vegetation, road and footpaths
- Road maintenance works are carried out in accordance with Main Roads requirements.
Main Roads responsibility
- Main Roads maintain the traffic lights along Manning Road.
Canning Highway
City responsibility
- The City has a shared responsibility with Main Roads for the maintenance of Canning Highway
- The City maintains the vegetation, footpaths and structures from the kerb to the property line.
Main Roads responsibility
Main Roads is responsible for:
- The road surface
- Road islands
- Kerbs e.g. broken kerbs
- Potholes and
- Blocked drains

Planned works
- Any requests for road maintenance for City roads will be checked against upcoming planned works.
- If upcoming works will resolve the issues, and it is not currently a hazard, then repairs will be completed as part of the upcoming works.
- If you think the issue presents a hazard or other significant issues to the public, please contact the City on 9474 0777 for a priority response.
