Report obstructions such as stakes, metal and rocks, or vegetation obstructing footpaths or creating sightline issues.

Obstructions

Verge obstructions can include the following:
  • Verge level not maintained e.g. mounding of soil, mulch, raised garden beds, retaining walls etc.
  • Pedestrian access not maintained e.g. clear pathway two metre wide and high to allow pedestrian access
  • Hazards e.g. holes, stakes, landscape features, rocks, thorny plants etc.
  • Verge vegetation is obstructing traffic sightlines.
Obstructions on verges can be reported below. Please note - if the issue relates to City maintained trees and vegetation, please request street tree pruning.

Permissible verge treatments

Utility service pits

Pits located within verge areas are managed by the relevant utility service e.g. Western Power, Telstra or Atco Gas. If there is an issue with a pit on the verge, then please contact the relevant utility provider to repair.
For all other non-vegetation obstructions please refer to the below options to raise a request.
